A newly disclosed flaw tracked as CVE-2026-87682 affects Brocade Fabric OS versions prior to 10.0.1, where flawed input handling in the management interface and session verification logic lets shell metacharacters slip through to internal command-execution routines. An authenticated user, or an attacker who has compromised a directory-service account, can abuse this to run arbitrary commands on the system. Fabric OS administrators should prioritize the 10.0.1 update given the scope for full command execution.
