Rank Math has confirmed that its premium Rank Math PRO plugin for WordPress was tampered with and distributed carrying a hidden backdoor for roughly eleven hours between October 15 and 16. The vendor warns the implant can reinstall itself even after cleanup, so any site that downloaded or auto-updated during that window should be treated as compromised and rebuilt rather than merely patched.
